The Karaoke World Championships Organization is committed to not only finding the next world champion from somewhere within our diverse nation but also to helping every individual vocal athlete coming through the program find a unique way to learn and grow their craft.                       To this end we introduce to you Keep on Singing! an official KWCUSA national training program available to singers nationwide both members* and non-members alike.

Originally developed in Washington State by Michael Cagle (Take the Stage Productions) and Ryan Hazy (Hazy Productions) with help from Jimi Flaherty  (Seattle Sound Productions) this weekly program mixed parts of many current television singing shows along with one on one training and weekly live performances.  Due to the success of the top finalists from Keep on Singing! in the Washington State Finals season after season, it was clear that this proven method of vocal and performance training was needed in more than just Washington State.

With an exciting new partnership with Wurrly.edu there is now a platform to do just that!  Students will receive meberships to both Wurrly and Wurrly.edu during this time.

Up to 30 Singers will enroll for a chance to train with their favorite KWCUSA Alumni or Vocal Expert for 6 weeks via Wurrly.edu. Working directly with their selected/assigned coach on Voice, Technique, Artistry, and Stage Presence (Overall Entertainment) learning new skills and genres along the way. Contestants will submit their application, rank their preferred coaches, submit one song via the Wurrly application, and pay the entry fee in order to be eligible for selection.

Under the direction of National Director Joshua Baron, the official coaches will select teams of 5 singers to work with this season.  These singers will work one on one weekly with their coaches within a variety of genres and challenges leading to one weekly final video to be submitted for judging from the entire coaching panel. 

 

Before starting the program Katti Powell of Sing Without Limits Vocal Coaching, who has partnered with us this year to provide a new level of training for all of this years participants.  Katti was the vocal coach to our KWC World Champion of 2018, Mikko Blaze Bordeaux, as well as the coach to our 2017 & 2018 USA Silver Medalist Beth Brennan, and our USA National Champion of 2013, Kim Annand, who won Bronze at Worlds that year. 

She has created a program specifically designed to help competitors beef up their skills and their confidence so they can come to each level of competition ready to win!

We have worked out a special arrangement that is available to KWCUSA Members only to join that program at 50% of the regular investment. Keep on Singing! contestants each get the additional bonus of getting to work with Katti through the Keep on Singing orientation program.

​

With a generous sponsorship gift from ikmultimedia, contestants will also each get an i-Rig Mic microphone to use while making their videos this season.

 

Scores and feedback will be given to the vocal coaches for their singers helping them know better what to work on with their team members for the upcoming week.  Unlike the previous stage version of the program, singers will not be cut throughout the duration of the 6 weeks, instead singers will be given this time to work with their coaches trying to earn the top scores for their team week after week.  The top scoring singer after 6 weeks of coaching from each  team will be invited to compete directly in the KWCUSA National Finals August 18th to the 21st at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas NV.

The top scoring singer overall in the program will win travel and accommodation to  compete in the National Finals Event.
