Who Can Enter
KWCUSA is open to US-based singers across all levels of experience—amateur and semi-pro performers are welcome. We host two primary age divisions: Under 18 and 18+. Note that while the national organization supports youth divisions, individual host venues may have their own age restrictions based on local licensing laws. Always check the specific venue details in the app before choosing your qualifier.
How the Competition Works
1. Create Your Profile: Download the KWCUSA app and build your singer profile to get started.
2. Choose a Local Qualifier: Browse the map to find a live venue or select a video audition round.
3. Perform: Sing your heart out for our certified judges at your chosen event.
4. Advance: Top singers move to State Finals, then the National Finals, and finally the World Stage.
All registrations, audition signups, and official event management happen securely through the KWCUSA app.
How You’ll Be Scored
Our certified KWCUSA judges utilize a standardized, professional scoring system to ensure fairness and consistency across every stage. Singers are evaluated on:
- Vocal Quality & Technique
- Pitch & Intonation
- Timing & Rhythm
- Stage Presence & Dynamics
Every official judge and mentor within the KWCUSA network must complete a mandatory background check before being activated in the system, ensuring a safe and professional environment for all participants.
From Local Stage to National Finals
The journey begins at your local venue. High-scoring performers advance to their respectively designated State Finals. The best from each state then proceed to the prestigious KWCUSA National Finals. Ultimately, our newly crowned National Champions receive the honor of representing the United States at the World Karaoke Championships, competing against the best singers from over 30 countries.
Registration Fees & What’s Included
All registration and entry fees are processed securely through Stripe via the KWCUSA app. Your fee covers your official entry into the competition branch, certified judging, and digital score reporting. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive an automated confirmation email with your event details and entry QR code for check-in at the venue.

How do I see my scores?
Once your regional round is officially finalized, you can view your digital scorecards and judges' feedback directly in your profile within the KWCUSA app.
Can I use my own backing tracks?
Official qualifiers typically use a standardized karaoke song library. High-level finalists may be permitted to provide specific tracks, provided they meet our quality and licensing requirements.
